Ingredients:
2 cups cheddar cheese — shredded
4 tablespoons butter — softened
1 cup flour
1 1/2 teaspoons paprika
dash cayenne
1 jar pimiento stuffed olives (8-1/2 oz. size) — drained
1 egg
1 tablespoon cream or milk
1/4 cup sesame seeds
Preheat oven to 350F. In a food processor, blend cheese and butter until well blended. Add flour, paprika, and cayenne and process until smooth. Pat the olives dry. Wrap each olive in approx. 1 teaspoon of the dough mixture from the first step. Pinch any cracks to seal. Roll into ball shape and place on parchment lined baking sheet. Beat egg and cream until well blended. Brush egg onto the tops of the dough balls. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake until just golden in color, about 15 minutes. Serve hot or cold. Makes 48 nuggets.
