The party protocol rules that once used to determine or limit our choices no longer exist! While the most popular color choice for graduation parties continues to be the school colors of the graduate, many students are now choosing favorite colors for decorating… anything goes!
If your graduation party is theme based , choose colors related to the theme. The following list represents a sample of some color choices, but by no means does it represent the only choice that would be appropriate! Choose color- based basics, then add some fun props related to your theme to create a spectacular party setting!
Fifties – black, white, hot or pastel pink
Luau – lots of brights – green, yellow, blue, hot pink
Stars – gold or silver and black
Mardi Gras – purple, green, yellow and gold
Music – black and white with little splashes of red
Western – red, black, and white
Cinderella – pastel blue, white and silver
Nautical – navy blue, red & white
Hollywood – black & gold or silver
Casino Night – black & red, with splashes of green & white
60’s & 70’s Retro – lime green, hot pink, purple, banana yellow, or turquoise
Jungle – varying shades of green, with splashes of orange, red & yellow
Egyptian – gold and white, with splashes of purple or royal blue
Oriental – black, red and gold
